The lake experience
The lake environment
Enhance your creativity
Our studio is located on the most beautiful lake in CT, in the foothills of the Berkshires. Peaceful breezes in Summer keep the area cool and white tranquility in Winter promotes a pensive mood. In Spring and Fall the beauty of the lake is enthralling!
The studio was designed using best acoustic practices from major venues and studios. Vaulted wood-paneled ceilings provide for optimum acoustics for tracking, All rooms have acoustic treatments.
Our studio has a great collection of vintage instruments - a 1907 Steinway B, fully restored in 2017, 1961 Hammond A100 (B3) in mint shape with a late 60s Leslie cabinet, a rare 1984 Rhodes MkV piano, 1965 Fender Showman amp, Gretsch Renown drums. Track your music on the finest instruments to make you album stand out.
Take a break from tracking and mixing to hop on a kayak, canoe or paddleboard, take a quick swim, or take a ride on the SS Haven - our 18 foot pontoon boat.
We believe that the environment and the instruments stimulate your creativity to the fullest!

Your album is our priority
Creating a great album requires a tight connection with the artist. We work with you to try and attain your vision accurately.
The process starts with an interview to determine what your goals, what sound you’re seekling, which reference albums most reflect your vision in terms of sound characteristics, mood and mix.
We plan the tracking date thoroughly with the goal of getting ideas down immediately. Mics are setup in advancem routed to the approriate pre-amps, The protools session template is ready and the musician isolation config is complete so you can walk in and start recording.
After tracking, we typically get rough mixes to you within a couple days for review. We then begin the process of mixing the album based on your feedback and best practices to align with the initial vision and reference you discussed prior.
Additional tracking sessions are scheduled as needed to complete the project and ensure that all performances are optimum .
Once the mix is complete, we cann then proceed with the final mastering which you can then use for streaming process or printing your album to physical media.
Throughout the process, we aim for fast turnarounds. Momentum is key.
